A brawl at a health resort in Krynica-Zdrój escalated to blows. "A punch in the face"

On Monday, August 11, disturbing scenes unfolded at a spa in Krynica-Zdrój. At one point, a 58-year-old patient began causing a disturbance and vandalizing the dining room. He was under the influence of alcohol.

"I was punched in the face, lost consciousness, and had a nosebleed," the injured man said, as quoted by TVP3 Kraków. The injuries were so severe that the doctor was taken to the hospital.
The attacker was detained by police. "Further actions will be taken after he sobers up," said Chief Superintendent Justyna Basiaga, spokeswoman for the Municipal Police Headquarters in Nowy Sącz, immediately after the incident.
The case alarmed other patients staying at the sanatorium. "We come here for health, not for brawls," they commented. "A doctor should be untouchable," added others.
The 58-year-old was charged with violating the doctor's bodily integrity.Chief Superintendent Justyna Basiaga provided the latest information in an interview with "Fakt." Two days after the incident, charges were brought against a 58-year-old resident of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. It turned out that the man had also been aggressive towards nurses.
The charges include violating the doctor's bodily integrity and causing moderate bodily harm. "As well as using unlawful threats against nurses to force them to abandon their legal duties and violate the bodily integrity of one of them," Chief Inspector Basiaga said. These offenses are punishable by up to five years in prison.
